Singer Gloria Bugie is back in the headlines again, after another nude video of her surfaced on the web. An explicit clip showing Bugie seated in a chair in suggestive behavior surfaced online, sending the Internet abuzz once again amid heavy debates concerning the private life of the singer.
The source of the video is unknown, but in it, Bugie is provocatively massaging herself. However, given the nature of the video, one finds Bugie not in a disturbed mood. Curious is this, on one hand, whether the video was recorded with or without her permission. Whichever way, the owner of the video is still unknown.
This is the most recent scandal following an earlier release of her first nude video that was released in September 2024, with a huge stir the following. At that time, Bugie claimed she was a victim of revenge pornography; the video had been leaked from a blackmailer without her releasing it. She therefore reported the incident to police officers, and they started an investigation into the incident.
Revenge pornography represents private sexual images and videos distributed non-consensually, and it is normally malicious with the intention of shaming or punishing the victim.
Reactions of fans to this second leak have been mixed. Some showed sympathy with Bugie, condemning the invasion of her private moments, while others speculated that the video could have been released on purpose for publicity to sell her music.
The Anti-Pornography Act, 2014 prohibits the production and dissemination of pornographic material through any publication or information technology in Uganda. The dissemination of the video is a crime under the same act.
For Bugie, so far, there is no statement about the recent leak. The online talk of the issue has gotten increasingly heated.
