Uganda Christian University, UCU, has made major development changes on campus. The highly anticipated tarmacking of Bishop Orombi Road at the UCU Mukono Campus was officially launched on Wednesday, 11th September 2024, by the Chairperson of the UCU Governing Council, Rt. Rev. Prof. Alfred Olwa.
He was accompanied by Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi, the Vice Chancellor of UCU, Mr. David Mugawe, the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Finance and Administration, among other guests. This project contracted to Stirling Civil Engineering Company will change the previously dusty road from the Old University Football Pitch through the canteens and restaurants into a modern bitumen road.
This may take three months, beyond which it is intended that the campus will look like one of those wonders of beauty and functionality. This is one of many upgrading processes UCU is doing to change the infrastructural outlook, making it more up-to-date, friendly for learners, staff, and even visitors.
Tarmacking of Bishop Orombi Road represents a milestone in the ongoing transformation of UCU campus, in a bid to ensure better university facilities for a smoother and safer experience by all users on campus.
