Uganda Christian University hereby announces the Call for the 2024 UCU Students Innovation Challenge. The challenge seeks to invite students to submit any innovative idea that resolves any relevant market or societal problem. If selected, successful ideas could be eligible for USD 1,000 funding towards the implementation of ideas within six months.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Team Composition: The students will have multidisciplinary teams with a minimum composition of three members. It shall be necessary to detail the different roles and responsibilities of each member regarding the project.
- Mentorship: The teams shall have a UCU staff as the mentor who guides them in developing their projects.
- Proposal Submission: Proposals must be made through the UCU Grant Management Portal available here. Attach a copy to an email and send it to grants@ucu.ac.ug. Final submission should not be later than Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
How to Apply:
- Form Your Team: Form a team of at least three, covering a good mix of varied skills.
- Get a Mentor: Identify a UCU staff member who will mentor your team throughout the execution of the project.
- Design Your Proposal: Come up with a carefully thought-through proposal to address some specific market or societal challenge.
- Submission of the Proposal: Submission is through the UCU grant management portal and a copy to grants@ucu.ac.ug, on or before the deadline.
