Makerere University Business School mourns the loss of Mr. Dick Musoba, a highly esteemed Teaching Assistant in the Department of Applied Statistics and Management Science under the Faculty of Economics, Energy, and Management Science. Mr. Musoba died on the evening of Saturday, August 31, 2024.
Mr. Musoba was an esteemed member of the department and was known for his unrelenting commitment towards his students and area of specialization. His impact at the university and in the general academic fraternity was immense, hence his demise was equally devastating among colleagues, students, and friends alike.
A Requiem Service in his honor, life, and service will be held tomorrow, Monday 2nd September 2024 starting at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Chapel, MUBS. The body of Mr. Musoba will then be taken to the ancestral home in Busangai, Bulako – Sibanga, Bubulo West County, Manafwa District for burial, details of which will be communicated later.
The sudden death of Mr. Musoba has cast a shadow on the university, where he is remembered by many for his commitment as a teacher and a sensitive colleague. His loss will no doubt be deeply felt in the Faculty of Economics, Energy, and Management Science, where he was known for his commitment to academic excellence and his warm relations with students.
