The management of Makerere University Business School has issued detailed guidelines for changing programs/campus for the 2024/2025 academic year to newly admitted students. This is an important notice to help students make appropriate changes so that their academic pursuits align more closely with their career goals and personal preference.
Procedure for Changing Course or Campus
MUBS has provided a clear, step-by-step procedure to make your switching of course or campus hassle-free. The following steps will help you in switching to your desired program.
Step 1: Log onto Student Portal
A student is required to log onto their portal through this link.
Step 2: Login Details
The login details are your student number as the username and password. For example:
Username: 240058947
Password: 240058947
Step 3: Services
After logging in, click on the “Services” link.
Step 4: Apply for Services
Click on “Apply for Services.”
Step 5: Application for Change
Click on “APPLY FOR CHANGE OF PROGRAMME/CAMPUS”. Ensure that you refer to the programme codes to distinguish between programmes offered in different campuses.
Step 6: Fill in the Change Form
In the programme change form, select your current programme, the new programme for which you are applying, study time, campus, academic year, and optionally give a reason for the change. Once all sections have been completed, click “Submit application.”
Step 7: Payment Process
To finish the application, generate a PRN for a change of programme/campus fee. You can do this on the pending application history interface by clicking “Generate payment reference”. Take the PRN and pay Shs 6,000 plus any bank charge.
Important Dates
The system for course or campus change shall be open from Saturday, August 03, 2024, to Friday, August 09, 2024. Students are warned to respect the dates to ensure that they complete all intended change or changes within the stipulated time.
