On behalf of the Electoral Commission, the Chairman for Mbarara University of Science and Technology Students’ Guild officially called for applications to fill the two vacant positions within the Guild. Applications are invited from interested candidates for the following positions:
- 2nd GRC BPSM
- GRC Secretary Gents’ Flat 4th Floor
This notice follows Article 9, Section (xi) of the 2023 amended MUSTSG constitution, which dictates that there be a bye-election within 14 days when an office falls vacant.
Eligibility
Article 9, Section (ii), 3 of the 2023 amended MUSTSG constitution explains that for one to be considered for the post, he/she needs to satisfy the following conditions:
- Must be a fully registered student of the university.
- Must fall within the classes of members in one of the above constituencies.
Dates to Note:
- Nomination of candidates who express interest will be on Friday, 13th September 2024, before midday.
- Voting will start in every constituency on Monday, 16th September 2024 at 11:00 AM.
