Makerere University has set a date for a weeklong graduation that will start January 13th. This is among the highlights of an academic calendar that the institution has released covering the academic year 2024/2025.
It will be the 75th ceremony of its kind, when students from various disciplines graduate from university, thanks to successful completion of their respective courses. As it is done in the past, the different colleges will have their different days through out the week on which students Merits, Degrees and Diplomas will be awarded.
Makerere University graduation is therefore designed to celebrate and recognize the hard work and dedication of its graduates. It also marks a new and possibly transformative period in their lives as they transition from being students to professionals. This is certainly a joyous moment for all within this vibrant communal setting which officially rounds off the academic year by marking an educational collective milestone for many of those involved.
