- Open the myUnik portal.
- Check “Reset my password”.
- You will be asked for your student number to request a token.
- A token is sent to the phone and email used during application.
- Enter the token and your chosen password.
- Advance and sign in with your student number as username and the new password you have chosen.
Note: These are purely Private Sponsorship instructions; Government will be handled by the individual College Registrars.
Program Changing
Students changing programs will start their process on 29th July 2024 to 9th August 2024. Below is the process for change:
- A student pays a non-refundable application fee of UGX 6000 at any bank. The payment reference number required for this payment shall be generated by the student portal.
- Upon logging in:
- A student should click on “MENU” found on the top left side.
- Then select “SERVICE” and click on “APPLY FOR SERVICE”.
- Click on “CHANGE OF PROGRAMME”.
- Fill out all the compulsory fields and proceed to submit an application.
- Generate a reference number for payment.
This process aids in students’ proper transition from one program to another in the event of any changes in programs and ensures that all financial obligations are cleared before effecting the changes.
These are thus important sequences of events as Makerere University gears up for the new academic year in order to make routine administration operate correctly. New students are hence advised to act on them promptly to get started on a smooth university ride.
