Swangz Avenue artist Elijah Kitaka will headline this year’s Vumbula Uganda festival, to take place at the Across the Nile Resort from 9th to 11th October 2024.
Kitaka is set to lead a stellar line-up that shall feature a string of performances to rock the festival whose launch was held at TheVilla Bukoto on August 9, 2024. According to Jean Akullo, the PRO of Vumbula Uganda, the festival will feature Kitaka and other local artists in rejoicing over the rich talent in Uganda.
Akullo emphasized the fact that Vumbula Uganda was more than just an event; it had grown into a very large movement with an impact on the local economy. “The festival contributes to increased tourism, thus companies dealing in tourism and those in the hospitality business benefit from its existence,” noted Akullo.
According to Vumbula Uganda CEO, Peter Ssebulime, this year’s festival is intended to showcase rich Uganda’s cultural heritage in adventure and tourism.
This year’s festival promises to be the best with a lot of activities that attendees will enjoy. Cultural performances with lots of energies, the beauty of Uganda’s traditional heritage was showcased through dance and music,
he said.
The festival is being put together in collaboration with the Hanze Group Uganda. Mr. Asasira Sam, CEO of the Hanze Group, expressed excitement about the partnership, citing a world-class venue for the festival with tight security details around those who will attend.
