Bishop Stuart University, BSU, invites the public to a highly anticipated event: the forthcoming Public Lecture scheduled for October 24, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM (EAT). It will be held at the New Library and will revolve around the theme “Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation: The Role of Universities.” This event points out that academic institutions are summoned forth in response to the challenges of climate change through adaptation and mitigation strategies.
This shall be complimented with the following key activities, in addition to the thought-provoking lecture:
- Commissioning of the ZCK Mungonya Library (New Library Building), a milestone event for the university, with citation of ZCK Mungonya by Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu.
- Graduation Ceremony for students who have successfully completed the Administrative Officer’s Law Short Course and the Postgraduate Certificate in Public Administration and Management.
The guest speaker to grace the lecture is Prof. Moses Muhumuza, who will deliver a keynote address that is going to be thought-provoking on the role of universities in Global Climate Action. Rt. Rev.
