The Law Development Center has admitted 1,260 students for the academic year 2024/2025. Postgraduates will be enrolled for the Diploma in Legal Practice at its three campuses located in Kampala, Mbarara, and Lira.
The biggest share will be at Kampala with 630, Mbarara hosting 420, and Lira 210 students. Of these, 597 had deferred their admission from the previous academic year while 663 were first-timers coming in from other accredited universities and law schools across Uganda plus a few international students.
LDC ensured that universities received their proportionate share of slots based on students’ academic performance at the respective universities. The strategic distribution of students across the campuses, in which the LDC ensured university participants got equal shares based on the students’ qualification, was to some extent based upon the availability of resources including centrals, libraries, computer labs, and any other academic infrastructures, including human resources.
In addition, about 240 returning students are expected to re-take subjects of the previous academic year, making a total student number for the academic year 2024/2025 at an estimated 1,500.
Messages regarding the admission status of the applicants will be communicated to them by email. For further information or clarifications, students can reach the LDC Admissions Office at: admissions@ldc.ac.ug.
