The Ministry of Education and Sports is pleased to offer an opportunity for Ugandan students to participate in Algerian Government Scholarships for the 2024/2025 academic year. Scholarships under this call can be undertaken at different universities in Algeria, covering courses of interest.
Fields of Study and Slots Available:
- Science and Technologies: 20 slots
- Science of Nature and Life: 10 slots
- Mathematics and Computing: 15 slots
- Science of Matter: 5 slots
- Science of Earth and the Universe: 5 slots
- Agronomic Sciences: 5 slots
- Architecture and Urban Planning: 20 slots
- Veterinary Sciences: 5 slots
- Medical Sciences: 15 slots
A total of 100 slots are available for Ugandan students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have at least two principal passes at A-Level with a minimum of a C grade in the relevant subject combinations.
- Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 25 years old at the time of application.
- A-Level Results: Applicants must have finished their A-Level studies in 2023.
- Documents Required: A biometric passport, a birth certificate, and a medical certificate are needed.
- Supporting Documents: Attach two passport photos to the application.
Application Procedure:
- Download Application Form: Candidates are required to download the application form from the Ministry of Education and Sports website: www.education.go.ug.
- Submit Application: Dully filled forms, with a passport photo taken not more than six months ago and attached the required supporting documents, shall be submitted either as an attachment via email to scholarships@education.go.ug or in hardcopy, clearly addressed and delivered to the Department of Admissions, Scholarship and Students Affairs at the Ministry.
Important Dates:
- Application Deadline: Wednesday, August 14, 2024
- Shortlisting and Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be called for interviews. The final list of selected scholars shall be made on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
Additional Notes:
- The medium of instruction in all fields is either French or English.
- Those already admitted on government sponsorship need not apply.
- Successful candidates will be required to purchase their own air tickets to Algeria.
