Natasha Nyonyozi was crowned Miss Uganda 2024/25 in a glittering ceremony held at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala, on 3rd August 2024. At 23, she has become the new face of beauty and elegance for the country of Uganda. She succeeds the previous year’s Hannah Karema Tumukunde.
Background and Education
Natasha’s journey to becoming Miss Uganda manifests one’s power of vision and unshaken determination. Born and bred in Kyonyo, Kamuganguzi, near Katuna in the Kabale district, she did her higher education at Coventry University in England, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting and Finance.
Career and Advocacy
Natasha is currently an entrepreneur and the proud owner of “Girl Hive,” a Beauty Parlour located at The Cube, Kisementi, Shop B20. Her career does not just stop in the business world; she has a strong passion for advocacy, especially on issues regarding children with special needs, more so those living with autism. Her charity work in this area has been overwhelming; it reflects her commitment to making a difference.
Miss Uganda Journey
Natasha was the second contestant in the just-concluded Miss Uganda 2024/25 among the 28 finalists. Her charisma and elegance will set her apart amidst stiff competition. She had leadership qualities recognized by fellow contestants, as evidenced by her election to the class presidency.
Natasha said this in her victory speech, claiming that Miss Uganda was a childhood dream dating back to when she was 10. She dedicated her win to transforming lives, particularly advocating teenage mothers, young girls without access to education, and those lacking sexual and reproductive health services.
Future Goals
Natasha intends to use the Miss Uganda platform to help the vulnerable in society. Her work on children with special needs and vision for education and health facilities reflect the broader things she wants to achieve in her reign.
From being a gigantic event, the 2024 Miss Uganda Grand Finale had some special guests in their person—Miss World Tanzania Halima Ahmad Kopwe and Lesego Chombo, the reigning Miss World Africa 2024 and Miss Botswana 2022. Natasha Nyonyozi’s win at the contest opened her a new chapter of life and proved huge potential for her to make a difference at the national and global levels.
