On the 13th of July, 2024, the Islamic University in Uganda fraternity cheered one of its own, Dr. Halima, who serves as the Academic Registrar. She was awarded the pretty ache ‘Prof. Indira Parikh 50 Women in Education Leaders’ Award. This award recognizes her sterling contributions and leadership in the world of education.

The ’50 Women in Education Leaders’ Award is the resultant of a strict selection process by the prestigious jury comprising senior professionals from around the world. Further evaluation goes through careful scrutiny on various parameters such as:

Award Ceremony
The award was declared in the World Congress held at Taj Land’s End, Mumbai, India, from July 11-12, 2024. The congress thema is ‘Emerging Technologies in Education for Sustainable Development.’ The two-day congress is nisi to provide a common platform to educators and leaders from these diverse parts of the world to discuss and explore newer interventions of sustainable education.
Significance to IUIU
This thus testifies to her selflessness, worthiness, and intense work put in towards raising the education barriers at IUIU and beyond. This tells of embracing a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation at the university in schooling. The achievement of Dr. Halima offers not only pride to herself but to the whole community of IUIU.
