The award for the best private university in Uganda went to the Islamic University in Uganda at the Consumers Choice Awards 2024. This prestigious award was bestowed on September 6, 2024, at the Golf Course Hotel, Kampala, in recognition of the overall outstanding academic standards and commitment towards quality education by IUIU.
This award has also pointed out the commitment of IUIU to teaming up a culture for academic excellence, with an enabling and enriching learning environment. The university, through its various focuses on research, innovation, and holistic education, has kept itself ahead as a leading private institution in Uganda.
The Consumers Choice Awards are reportedly one of the annual events celebrating organizations that have excelled in their respective fields for customer satisfaction and quality of service. Recognition at this year’s event underlined the prominent position that IUIU occupies in the higher education sector in Uganda.
Dr. Jamil Serwanga, the Vice-Rector in charge of Academic Affairs, received the award on behalf of IUIU. He was accompanied by Associate Professor Madina Nabukeera, the Director of the female campus, and Dr. Amaal Kinene Nsereko, the Quality Assurance Officer. Attending the ceremony underlined the commitment of the university to ensuring standards that assure academic excellence and welfare for its students.
This award serves as proof that IUIU has been doing enough in providing quality education, and rechecks its position as one of the leading educational establishments in the country.
