Uganda has been recognizing one of the most fundamental beauty pageant events in its records over the past five decades: the Miss Uganda pageant. From its initiation in 1967, the event has grown from a simple social event into one of the much-awaited and indigenous traditions, and at the same time revered, in which each winner represented Uganda at the global level, impacting the world tremendously.
