The famous Ugandan dance group, the Hyper Kids, had a once-in-a-lifetime experience while visiting in the United States recently. According to an interview, it was an invitation to visit the family and home of the late pop icon Michael Jackson that thrilled these young dancers.
The kids shared a video online expressing their astonishment while touring the home of the legendary singer with their manager. They spent time with estate caretakers, who exposed them to some of the iconic materials and gears used during Michael Jackson’s illustrious career. Most significantly, the group was able to touch the well-remembered gloves and jacket that Jackson wore in his breakthrough “Thriller” music video. This greatly encouraged the young dancers to put in more effort in order to be recognized globally.
The Hyper Kids went to America, where they are preparing for a performance to come on the stage of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night. With a keen desire to show before the international platform, the troupe is prepared to competently show the world what Uganda is made of and take praise in establishing themselves on the international level.
