The Mature Age Admission List of Makerere University has officially been out for the 2024/25 academic year admissions under the Private Sponsorship Scheme. The Office of the Academic Registrar, in a statement, announced names of successful candidates who applied through the Mature Age Entry Scheme—a pathway for persons entering higher education later in life.
This admission thus opens an opportunity for persons who did not get into a university through traditional means to pursue their academic goals. The process has been very competitive this year, where candidates have undergone rigid examination to test their readiness for university-level study.
The Mature Age Entry Scheme caters to those candidates who are 25 years or older and pass the entrance examinations set by the university. This particular admission pathway finds favor with working professionals and all those seeking better qualification in general.
On the admission list are students who have been offered places to pursue different degree courses, among them premier Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Arts, Sciences, and Business.
