Makerere University Business School has announced the introduction of new diploma and postgraduate programs for 2024/2025. The announcement was made by the Registrar of the School, inviting interested applicants to apply before the 31st August 2024 deadline.
New Programmes Offered at MUBS Main Campus
- Postgraduate Diploma in Business Intelligence and Data AnalyticsAdmission Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Computing, Business Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, IT, or any related fields.
- Professional qualifications in Business Intelligence Certification, Microsoft MCS, EMC Data Science, SAS Certified Scientist, or Cloudera Certified Professional may also be considered.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Business EducationAdmission Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIM, or ICSA are also accepted.
- Diploma in Business Intelligence and Data AnalyticsAdmission Requirements:
- Direct Entry: The Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes including Mathematics, and the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least one principal pass and two subsidiary passes.
- Professional Qualifications: Completion of at least half of stage/level one of any recognized professional qualification and Ugandan Certificate in Education with at least three passes.

Application Process
Applicants should fill in the online application form, which is accessible from anywhere with internet coverage or visit the MUBS Main Campus. Application procedure can be completed by following these steps:
- Registration: Open an account on the online application portal of MUBS using full names, email, and mobile number. Note that the name should be the same as in your academic documents.
- Password: After you have opened the account, a password will be sent to the email and telephone number you used. You will be prompted to change this password to one you can remember.
- Fill in the Form: Click on “Apply Now” and fill in your application form. Attach the following scanned copies:
- Passport-size photo (100KB)
- Birth Certificate (500KB)
- UCE Certificate (500KB)
- UACE Certificate (500KB)
- Certified transcript for Degree/Diploma/Certificate holders (500KB)
- Previous school/institution identification card.
- Payment: To obtain a payment slip/reference number, click “Pay for Form” and pay a non-refundable application fee of UGX 30,000 plus a bank charge of UGX 3,000 at any bank except Bank of India and Citibank.
Additional Information
- Applicants whose studies were completed outside Uganda must have their academic documents equated by the Uganda National Examinations Board.
- All Diploma programmes are day programmes and courses shall be offered both online and in a traditional classroom setting.
- Applications shall be open from 1st August 2024 to 31st August 2024.
Warning: Any form of impersonation, falsification of documents, and fraudulent activities is strictly warned. Admission shall be automatically withdrawn, and such cases may be handed over to the police for further action. The School Registrar has not appointed any agent to receive any extra money.
