Uganda Christian University’s Nursing Students’ Association (UCUNSA) regrets to announce to you, with great sadness, the untimely death of Kampi Lillian, a second-year nursing student who was found dead in her hostel room at Yesu Mulungi. Kampi, a student number M23B16/054, was found on the 9th of September 2024 under circumstances yet to be established by both the police and medical experts.
The association has extended an emotional memo to the student body of UCU, showing their heartfelt condolences for the loss of their good friend, whom it described as “our sister, friend and colleague”. The tragic news sent shockwaves on this university campus as students and the faculty lend prayers and support to Kampi’s family and friends through the difficult time.
Kampi shall be laid to rest this Wednesday, 11th September 2024 at Nawanyago village, Kamuli district. The funeral service will start at 2:00 PM, and the university shall provide transport for mourners interested in attending the burial. More details on departure time shall follow.
