In a warm turn of events, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, the distinguished vice chancellor of Makerere University, is in a milestone moment in his life. The news comes as Prof. Nawangwe’s son, Jovan, starts his university education in the USA. The announcement was made at a special service at Pastor Robert Kayanja’s Miracle Center Church, which has been central to Jovan’s life and development.
The Nawangwe family was beaming with joy as it attended the church where Prof. Nawangwe, his wife Mrs. Suzan Nawangwe, and their son were warmly welcomed at the church. It wasn’t really a kind of celebration of Jovan’s excellent performance alone, but in recognition of the support and spiritual guidance he received from this church.
It was at this point that Mrs. Suzan Nawangwe, Jovan’s mother, expressed their deep sense of gratitude toward Miracle Center Church for its instrumental role in shaping Jovan into the young man he is today.
Our journey as parents has been filled with challenges and triumphs, and we believe that with faith and guidance, we can overcome any obstacle,
Suzan Said
She attested to the fact that it is through the teachings and guidance of Pastor Robert and Pastor Jessica Kayanja that Jovan has grown, attributing his development to their mentorship.
In her address, Mrs. Nawangwe revealed that the upcoming education journey by Jovan is very important since it is a new chapter in his life.
He has been set free from trials and hardships of the past, and ready to embrace this new phase of his education. This is the right time for him to continue his academic journey,
she said.
The Nawangwe family was grateful not only to the pastors but also to Pastor Junior and Malena, whose influence has been an inspiration and strength for Jovan, too. Mrs. Nawangwe appreciated their kindness and the fact that Jovan now had somebody to look up to as a role model as he gets ready to face challenges at the university abroad.
The news of Jovan’s placement to a US university has not only brought joy to the Nawangwe family but has also been an inspiration to many people around them. It goes on to show the deep impact a supportive and faith-driven upbringing has on the achievement of academic and personal success.
This new educational adventure that Jovan is preparing to embark on finds his family, the Nawangwes, patiently waiting and very excited for his future. They know the values and lessons learned will help him immensely in whatever pursuits he takes up, whether academic or otherwise.
The Nawangwe story indicates the power of faith, love for family, and the deep impact a community can make by raising young people to be the best they can be.
