Natasha Nyonyozi, the reigning Miss Uganda 2024/25, not only reigns in beauty but also in her academic and professional background. In this exclusive interview, she gave Satisfashion insight into her educational life, exposing which prestigious schools she attended. Nyonyozi also holds the title of Miss Photogenic.
Educational Background:
Nyonyozi started her educational journey at a tender age when she joined the Victorius Kindergarten at the age of two and a half. She then went on to pursue her primary education from some of the finest schools in Uganda: Taibah Junior School, Rainbow International School, and Greenhill Academy, where she sat for her Primary Leaving Examinations.
She attended two of the most prestigious schools in Uganda for her secondary education. She did her O-Level at King’s College Budo, a school widely recognized for its strong academic background and for raising many influential leaders in Uganda. Nyonyozi then proceeded to Nabisunsa Girls’ Secondary School for her A-Level, further laying a strong academic base.
After rising to the top in her studies, Nyonyozi did her advanced studies abroad at Coventry University, England, with a view to achieving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. This goes on to prove her determination and will.
Professional Successes and Advocacy
At 23, Nyonyozi owns a beauty store, Girl Hive, located in Kisementi, Kamwokya, Kampala. It is with such an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for beauty that she has become a role model in simple ways to many young Ugandan women aspiring to make it in business.
Apart from business, Nyonyozi is an avid philanthropist toward children who have special needs, especially with autism. Her commitment to this cause can be noted through her involvement in charity work in aid of children with special needs. This work is very dear to her heart and has been part of her major journey even before she took up the role of Miss Uganda.
Crowning Moment and Future Plans
Nyonyozi was crowned Miss Uganda 2024/25 on August 3, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, attended by such high-ranking guests as Miss World Tanzania Halima Kopwe and Miss World Africa 2024 Lesego Chombo. She added that this event brought together the crème de la crème of beauty queens to witness the crowning of Nyonyozi as Miss Uganda 2024/25 on August 3, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, and hosted such leading beauty queens as the current Miss World Tanzania Halima Kopwe and the current reigning Miss World Africa 2024 Lesego Chombo.
Nyonyozi, hailing from Kabale District, intends to use her role as Miss Uganda to continue caring for children with special needs and promote education and entrepreneurship among young Ugandan women. Her story is a strong illustration that beauty pageants such as Miss Uganda offer more than just glitz and glamour; rather, they are a platform where young women could have a meaningful impact on society.
