The renowned Emcee, DJ, and reality TV star, Edith Ndagire, alias Etania, has just been terminated by NRG Radio Uganda. This is in relation to a disciplinary process at the company that warrants her termination.
This was well brought out in the termination letter, in which NRG Radio stressed the value of dignity and mutual respect as very core and uncompromisable values of the organization. “After our conversation, we believe that termination of your services with NRG is the best way forward for all parties concerned,” the letter addressed to Etania said.
Etania, aka “Life of the Party,” has been instructed to return company property in the form of IDs and a notebook laptop to the Human Resource office. She will receive salary up to July 3. It reiterated that she had signed up not to compete or disclose and acceded to the fact that she was barred from working with competitors for one year and from revealing business information to other interested parties at any time during the period.
It was also indicated in the termination letter dated 1 July that detailed information about compensation was to be given by the department of Human Resource.
NRG radio, situated on Clement Hill in Kampala, is one of the newest radio stations in Kampala—or its mother company, which is domiciled in Kenya. At NRG, Etania was hosting an evening show that saw her. Transfer her bubbly self all onto the airwaves.
The company has not given any specific reasons for her dismissal, although in effect, this terminates Etania’s service at the station.
