As part of the 30th-anniversary celebration, Nkumba University, in conjunction with Mildmay International Uganda, will conduct a general public medical camp on 23rd August 2024. The event shall be held at the Nkumba University Play Ground, starting from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a range of free health services to ensure the well-being of the community.

Medical Services Offered
The NU@30 Medical Camp plans to offer various free medical services available to all attendees for the promotion and provision of crucial health care. Below are some of those services:
- HIV Testing and Counseling: Free, expert, and confidential HIV testing and counseling shall be provided to help individuals comprehend their status and effectively manage their health.
- Syphilis Testing: Testing for syphilis will be carried out to facilitate the early detection and treatment of this sexually transmitted infection.
- Tuberculosis Testing: An important aspect of TB control is the early identification of cases, and this camp will offer testing services for early identification and management of this potentially serious infectious disease.
- Hepatitis B Testing: It is vital to test for Hepatitis B at the camp since it is a liver infection that greatly affects overall health.
- Malaria Testing: As malaria is a significant public health issue, the camp will offer both testing and treatment of malaria.
- Safe Male Circumcision: Since it is a new public health program, safe male circumcision will be available at the camp to reduce HIV transmission and provide other health benefits.
- Consultation and Medical Referral: General health concerns of participants will be addressed, appropriate advice given, and referrals to specialized care facilities provided.
- Blood Drive: The event aims to collect blood from donors to increase the volume of the national blood bank and support those who rely on blood transfusion services.
