Today, Ndejje University witnessed a momentous day, its 26th Graduation Ceremony, hosted at the Main Campus in Luwero. Hundreds of graduates, their families, and well-wishers from all corners of the country flocked to the mega event, marking the culmination of years of dedication and hard work.
Diplomas, bachelors, masters, and PhDs were given to graduands from the fields of engineering, business, education, among others. Traditional caps and gowns that graduands have always worn with great jubilation over their success graced the occasion.
The Vice Chancellor, Rev. Canon Prof. Olivia Nassaka, thanked God for the steady progress that Ndejje University was experiencing, confirming that among the graduates this year, 433 were female. She appreciated the university’s commitment to academic excellence and the empowerment of women.
Recognition and awards of some students who performed excellently in academics, leadership, and sports were also made during the ceremony. There were also special awards for outstanding commitment and performance by students throughout their studies; the best overall was given high honors to inspire peers.
The Keynote address was given by the Chief Guest, Dr. Monica Musenero Musanza, the Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation. She urged the graduands to cultivate patience, resilience, and calmness in their dealings as they wade into the job market. The occasion theme was “Bearing Fruits that Abide.” Dr. Musenero, in a keynote address, stressed hard work, personality, and presentation as key attributes for future employment. “Jobs are there,” she said, “but it is your presentation, hard work, and personality that will win them for you.”
The 26th Graduation Ceremony was colorful, celebrating the hard-earned achievement of turning out graduates from Ndejje University, a launch into the great big world. Congratulations to all!
