Bushenyi 8th September, 2024– Valley University of Science and Technology has officially elected its 7th Guild President, and the spotlight is on none other than Muhwezi Naboth, affectionately nicknamed as “Under 14.” In a fiercely contested race, Naboth, a student of Agribusiness Management and Rural Development from Kanungu District, secured a resounding victory over Tumukunde Wilbforce from Education and Matsiko Posiano from Business.
Naboth, the youngest of three candidates, has made waves with his vibrant personality and smart campaign strategy. Despite his playful nickname, “Under 14,” his win reflects the confidence students have in his ability to lead. “I might be ‘Under 14,’ but I’m playing in the Premier League and more than ready to serve in full gear,” he remarked, drawing cheers from his energized supporters.
The election was overseen by the Dean of Students, Mr. Tumusiime Boaz, who praised the candidates and the students for the high turnout and spirit of the election. In his remarks, Mr. Tumusiime said, “I would like to thank the Electoral Commission for organizing a free and fair election, and I commend the students who turned up in large numbers to exercise their right to vote. Congratulations to Muhwezi Naboth on his well-deserved victory. I have confidence that he will lead with integrity and vision, and I look forward to supporting him in the development of our student community.”
