MC Ollo, a well-known media personality, has made a surprising yet significant return to NBS Television after a brief seven-month stint at NTV Uganda. His decision to return to his former station is rooted in a deeper purpose: to connect with and cater to the Gen Z audience.
During an appearance on Sanyuka TV, MC Ollo shared insights into his return, highlighting a pivotal conversation with Kin Kariisa, the Managing Director of Next Media. According to Ollo, Kariisa acknowledged his unique ability to resonate with the Gen Z demographic, which ultimately influenced his decision to come back to NBS.
“Kariisa recognized that I truly understand the needs of Gen Z. He knew that I am the person, the president of this generation, and what we need. He called me back and said, ‘Come back home,'” Ollo explained.
Kariisa’s vision for Next Media includes creating a network that is specifically tailored to the interests and needs of the Gen Z audience, and MC Ollo’s return is a key part of that strategy. With this move, Ollo is set to play a central role in shaping content that speaks directly to the younger generation, reinforcing his position as a leading voice for Gen Z in the media landscape.
