The very next weekend saw the KIU Rangers and the Titans stamp their authority on the basketball court, winning gigantic against respective oppositions.
KIU Rangers Dominate
On Sunday, KIU Rangers delivered a dazzling performance as they thumped Nabisunsa Girls 100-35. Captain Ines Kanyamuneza poured in a game-best of 30 points. She added six rebounds, two assists, and four blocks to cap off an all-round contribution, which earned her the stand-out player of the match.
Other great contributions were from Sharon Kirabo, who scored 13, while Brenda Ayere added 11 to that list, with Mary Moses Amaniyo scoring in double digits. The Rangers began the game well and led by 56-19 at halftime—their highest halftime score so far this season. It was their 14th win in 17 regular-season games under coach Julius Lutwama.
Sweet Revenge for the Titans Over KCCA Panthers
The KIU Titans also made a good run as they pulled off a tight 79-66 win over KCCA Panthers at the YMCA Court on Saturday. The Titans bounced back from a 40-31 halftime deficit to win the third quarter and eventually claim the game.
Pierre Kasereka Tembo was the chief finisher for the Titans with the highest points of 29, including seven three-pointers and three layups. He turned the tide in favor of the Titans. There was also an equally brilliant display by Edgar Munaba and Juf Mpiya, who scored 11 each, while Joel Lukoji Banza scored 10.

The meeting between KIU Titans and City Oilers will take place on Friday, June 28, at Lugogo Indoor Arena. This is the same day for a showdown between KIU Rangers and KCCA Leopards.
