In a recent video of the two dancing together, Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka set the record straight concerning the status of his relationship with Buganda Princess Katrina Ssangalyambogo. He put to rest the rumors flying around when he made it known that their friendship was strictly platonic, thus ignoring this prospect.
In an interview with this newspaper, Baraka said Princess Ssangalyambogo has always supported his music since the initial days of his career. “Katrina is my friend. She has always supported me from way back and loves my music a lot,” he shared to show the good relationship developed between them.
Baraka narrated how the two became friends, noting that they always met while on the road. “We used to meet up a lot when I travelled; sometimes on the plane or at the airport. That’s how we started talking, and eventually, she became my good friend,” he said. What they have been through together tightened their bond, as the two often meet and attend shows whenever they are both in the UK.
Baraka put the rumors to rest by clarifying that he is in a public relationship with socialite Etania, who has been his partner for quite some time. The rapper praised Princess Ssangalyambogo’s relentless support, pointing out that whenever possible, she attends his performances. “She’s just a supportive person and a good friend,” Baraka added.
Most of Princess Ssangalyambogo’s life has been kept private, even though she has been studying and working in England. “Right now, my focus and emphasis is on school. I am not dating anyone, and that is not something on my mind right now,” she said.
Clearly, where both individuals clear the air, such a relationship is surely founded on mutual respect and friendship due to shared interests and common experiences.
