Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi, well known as Barbra Itungo, wife of opposition leader Bobi Wine, is grieving the passing of her dear grandfather. He was known as Mr. Ernest Nvuganyi, Barbie Itungo’s paternal grandfather, and he breathed his last on Monday, 19th August.
The sad news became public due to a post made by the musician on his social media pages. In the heartfelt message, he said, “Regret to announce the passing of my grandfather-in-law Mzee Ernest Nvuganyi of Rukanda Rwentobo in Ntungamo district. May the Almighty God receive his soul.
This was followed by a very touching photo that Bobi Wine posted to unveil the time he spent with Mzee Nvuganyi while visiting his family in Ntungamo district in June. Bobi Wine, Barbie, and the children moved with the extended family, going around things like visiting farms and village activities.
The deceased was Mzee Ernest Nvuganyi, father to Dr. Gershom Kagaju, and grandparent to Barbie Itungo. This, no doubt, is a big blow to the family by the loss of a luminary and eminent-respected elder in the community.
Bobi Wine and family have always been bound together by the family ties which, for that matter, need it expressed with sorrowful devastation. The Kyagulanyi family has called upon prayers and support to give them courage and strength at this time as they celebrate the life of their grandfather.
