Allan Toniks, real name Allan Ampaire, is about to make a milestone in his music career with a highly-anticipated concert titled ‘My Journey.’ The event will happen on 5th October 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, where the talented R&B singer will showcase how he has grown musically since he first stepped into the industry in 2008.
In a press conference held at Sheraton Hotel’s Lion’s Bar on Monday, September 18, Toniks expressed his excitement about the concert, noting it will be a chance to reflect and celebrate 16 years’ journey in the Ugandan music scenes.
“My Journey is a theme that shall help me showcase all the works which I have done since I joined the music industry in 2008,” he said. The singer also announced other concerts to be held across Uganda and internationally to reconnect himself with his fans as he revives his musical career.
At the same concert, Toniks also introduced Lilly Ahabwe, the artiste who featured in his breakthrough song Beera Nange. Ahabwe, who had disappeared from the music scenes as she concentrated on her education, confessed how happy she was to be reunited with Toniks at his ‘My Journey’ concert.
“I would wish to inform the members of the public that I am now back into the music industry, and I have released an album and a few singles which I will be sharing with you soon,” Ahabwe said.
According to Mr. Hunter Nsubuga of Eminent Brandz, the organizing company behind the concert, they are working hand in glove to ensure that Toniks’ show is both successful and memorable.
This has been set at 200,000 UGX Business Class, 500,000 UGX First Class, and 3 million UGX for a table of five, therefore giving the different options to the fans to witness the musical journey of Toniks.
37-year-old Toniks is known for hit songs like My Miss, Nzewuwo, Nsubiza, Regular, Akahama, Sikuleka, Romance, Beera Nange, Swag Meter, Falling, Itano, Hold On, Two, Ojje Nkuwe, and Kibala. He will promise the night full of his usual R&B sounds, among other performances that show growth and successes in music as he prepares to take center stage at the Sheraton Kampala.
